The Project Brief

Elouise Lingerie were keen to upgrade their existing website for 2 main reasons; to improve the look & usability of the website, and also to make it mobile-friendly. To achieve this, all of the shop data was migrated to Opencart, and a completely custom theme was created to make the mobile shopping experience much more pleasant for their customers.

The new template adds in lots of new features for customers, such as the dropdown menu, which allows easy navigation to the required lingerie category, and filter options to help with efficient searching of lingerie in a particular size, colour, price etc.

In order to show off the latest designs to website visitors quickly, we decided to add a large slider to the home page. The website admins have access to edit the content of any aspect of the website, so they can easily upload an image directly from the lingerie brands, easily promoting the latest fashion trends.

As the old website was difficult to navigate around, a smooth user experience was essential on the new design. To achieve this, the first step we took was to create a dropdown menu which can be used to quickly find the lingerie category or brand you are looking for.

Next, we focused on the product filter tools. By adding in a custom system, we can now browse items by a particular size, price range and even colour!
