The Project Brief

The Heather Society approached DH Designs because they wanted to upgrade their existing website and most importantly, add in a membership system for their worldwide user base. The new website allows the website admins to control different membership levels, and limit the content depending on these. New & existing society members can register/renew via the website.

The redesigned template also works responsively so that THS’ visitors can use the website just as easily on a phone or tablet as they could a desktop computer.

The primary focus of the Heather Society’s website redesign was to add in a fully integrated membership system. This system allows visitors to sign up or renew their existing membership and pay their fee via PayPal. Once payment is completed, the visitor’s account is created and their subscription status updated.

Heather Society administrators are able to view & edit this member’s database, giving us full information on their entire database of members across the world.

About The Client

The Heather Society is a worldwide charity which covers every aspect of the world of Heathers. The society was formed in 1963 and has a great member following around the world.

THS organises regional groups, visits to heather gardens, an annual week-end gathering and the occasional field-trip, and provides free advice to members on heather-garden design or any problems they may have.
